'Golowan' - Cornish for mid summer
This collection was created after spending time in London with her first millinery tutor from London Collage of fashion (12 years from when they first met). Holly’s new designs are inspired by timeless techniques that Susie Hopkins used throughout her career, which started in the couture work rooms of Paris in the 1950s. The collection therefore has a strong 1950s influence which you can see in the shapes of many of the hats.
‘My aim is to take the best of fashions from the past and modernise them with different colours and materials to create a contemporary yet timeless look.’ - Holly
With each headpiece made by hand, Holly’s creations are the opposite to fast-fashion and her classic designs will stand the test of time and be wearable in years to come.
